Message from the Honourary Chair
An Important and Enduring Circle
Since the opening last fall of the transformed Art Gallery of Ontario, hundreds of thousands of visitors have experienced an extraordinary new home for extraordinary art. And although the more than 4,000 works on view speak unequivocally to a new AGO, our commitment to bringing art and people together has remained steadfast throughout our history.
And so it's true of Casey House, which for more than 20 years has been a constant in the lives of men and women with HIV/AIDS. Founded in 1988 as the fi rst freestanding HIV/AIDS hospice in Canada, Casey House has lately witnessed a dramatic evolution in the face of this disease. As people are living longer, its aging clients are confronted by complex and concurrent health issues. Casey House is addressing this evolution of need through interdisciplinary partnerships in clinical care, education and research. All the while it maintains its commitment to a client-focused, holistic approach of compassionate care, respect and dignity.
Tonight marks the 16th anniversary of Art with Heart. Join emerging artists and art lovers in helping us ensure the continued and visionary work of Casey House. Make tonight's bidding memorable by making it an unprecedented success. Bid often and with gusto, knowing that it is for an important and enduring cause.
