James Lahey is a Toronto artist with a reputation for large-scale landscapes, Canadian flags, and still life paintings. Trained in fine arts, architecture, and artifact preservation in Canada and Italy, Lahey has always been a meticulous craftsman – the work offered at this year’s Art With Heart, titled Flight (from Made in Canada part 2, Canada Goose – Red) is a perfect example. The work depicts a goose against a bright red ground.

Lahey’s work can be found in numerous public and corporate collections in Canada, the United States and Britain. The artist is represented across Canada and the United States, in Vancouver at Kostuik Gallery and in Toronto at Galerie de Bellefeuille. This is the 23rd year Lahey has contributed to Art with Heart.
