Dufferin Mall is a work that continues Heather Goodchild’s practice of translating moments from her daily life into oil paintings that point to magic found within the mundane. Working across media including painting, textile, ceramic and installation, Goodchild has exhibited across Canada and internationally since 2001, exploring archetypal storytelling and the integration of craft into a contemporary art context.
