2026 Limited Edition

Created exclusively for Art With Heart, Zachari Logan’s contribution to this year’s edition comprises 25 unique drawings of a single pansy paired with other flowers. The series builds on the artist’s longstanding exploration of weeds, wildflowers, and roadside ditches as metaphors for queer male embodiment.

Each drawing in Pansy, Wildflower, Weed is united by the presence of a pansy alongside two companion flowering species. Within each circular composition, an intimate garden unfolds, suggesting resilience and connection through a dynamic exchange of bodies and minds. These imagined spaces of refuge reflect places such as Casey House, where intentional acts of compassion cultivate the conditions for individuals and communities to flourish.

Logan is a Regina-based artist whose practice involves drawing, ceramics, painting, and installation work. Known for his exquisitely rendered botanical imagery, his practice evokes a “re-wilding” of the body, where growth and abundance emerge through form, materiality, and transformation.

Logan’s work is represented in major collections, including the National Gallery of Canada, Art Gallery of Ontario, McMichael Canadian Art Collection, and Remai Modern, among others. International collections include the Peabody Essex Museum in Massachusetts, Leslie-Lohman Museum in New York City, 21cMuseums Hotel Collection, and the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art in Kansas. He has completed several prestigious residencies, including Vienna’s Museums Quartier MQ21 Program, the International Studio & Curatorial Program in Brooklyn, and the West Baffin Cooperative’s Artist in Residence in Nunavut. Earlier this year, Logan took part in the Cité Internationale des arts in Paris and has been selected for the 2027 Berlendis Venice Residency.
