A 3-time finalist in the prestigious RBC Canadian Painting Competition, Scott Everingham explores how illusion and perception are processed in painting, using the tangibility of light and volume to speak about impermanence. Sourcing fictional literature, his paintings are visual enigmas – spaces that open to the infinite with environments of temporary habitations to describe the ephemeral and insecure nature of being. Everingham’s work is in numerous institutional, corporate, and private collections.
