Lot 36

Megan McCabe is a Toronto-based figurative painter based whose work examines themes of relationships, coexistence, and isolation. She focuses on how figures, often in solitude, inhabit the spaces around them, conveying the experience of stillness. The uncertain nature of her figures, confronted with the immensity of the world around them, provides an opportunity to consider and reflect upon the range of physical and psychological responses we negotiate daily.

Holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Ontario College of Art & Design University, McCabe’s work has been exhibited in solo and group shows across Canada, earning significant recognition, including being a finalist in the RBC Painting Competition.
