Robin Arseneault new series Spectral Maneuver is an extension of her monumental body of work Falling Off The Log . The works in Spectral Maneuver are monochromatic assemblages, ethereal and graphic, like specters paused in space. Delicate bursts of graphite and printed collage float across the picture plane in a dreamlike sequence, imagining a magical aura or vision. The suite of ten, loosely figurative drawings quietly ask us to close our eyes, look inward and imagine a world where thoughts and emotions have movement and gesture, legs, arms, body and head.
