Caroline Ji’s Window Plants is part of her ongoing body of work exploring themes of emotional intimacy and spatial perception. This is a painting situated in her studio with a friend posing as the model. Ji is interested in the way that light, colour, and geometry come together to form atmosphere and subsequently a narrative with a figure for humans to relate to.
