Terran McNeely is a contemporary figurative artist working and living in Toronto. His work begins with the body, most often his own, as a queer site of presence, resistance, and becoming. McNeely approaches the figure as a self-aware subject that looks back, asserts agency, and holds its own complexity. The body here is both vulnerable and insistent, shaped by lived experience and charged with emotion, memory, and desire.
