Fausta Facciponte is a visual artist and professor of photography in the Art and Art History Program at the University of Toronto Mississauga and Sheridan College. She received her BA from the University of Toronto and her MFA from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Facciponte’s work explores material culture and how objects can be recontextualized and liberated from their original context. Her process involves collecting, arranging, and re-presenting. She draws heavily from the genre of still life, exploring its expressive possibilities through photography, often shifting between minimalist and maximalist aesthetics.
