Forbes Sang is a multi-disciplinary BIPOC artist based in Toronto who explores what it means to be mixed-race and how this changes the perception of his identity through family and societal norms. Sang’s artistic practice consistently touches on the fragmented idea of family and racial identity. Through portraiture, painting, and collage, Sang can connect with a side of himself that sees beyond the colour of his skin. Sang addresses his privilege in his work and uses it to accentuate the inequities of racialization, both seen and disclosed.
